Περίληψη: As organizations expand across the globe, they are exposed to both opportunities and challenges. In this lecture we will observe multinational enterprises (MNEs) through the lens of grand global challenges. First, we will assess why MNEs exist in relation to firm and country specific advantages. Then we will consider some key trends in today’s international business landscape. We will close with some micro-level considerations that explain why managerial action in international settings can be driven by bounded rationality and bounded reliability in the face of disruption.
